TAMPA, Fla. — One of the great Raiders trivia questions is no more. Derek Carr shattered the team passing record on Sunday, throwing for 513 yards. The old mark of 427 belonged to a gentleman named Cotton Davidson, set Oct. 25, 1964.
Carr was emotional after the game, and not because he was a huge Davidson fan. The way the team won, in overtime, overcoming 23 penalties, he was almost looking at reporters for hugs.
“I think what I am so fired up about is, not just the wins, but the character of this team,” Carr said.
