Late NFL coach Dennis Green had many friends and fans among the football community, among them Al Davis.
As messages of appreciation and respect poured in about Green, who died Friday, former Raiders CEO Amy Trask weighed in while honoring the longtime Raiders owner."Oh wow - spent time w/Al & Denny - they discussed football & the world - hope they're together now, doing the same," Trask wrote on Twitter.Green, who coached with the 49ers and Stanford, was often connected with the Raiders' head coaching job. He reportedly said he wasn't interested both in 2002, after Oakland traded Jon Gruden to Tampa Bay, and 2007, when rumors circulated about Lane Kiffin's status with the team.
