Del Rio says Tuck’s shoulder injury is “not good”

The Raiders are likely to be without defensive end Justin Tuck for an extended period after coach Jack Del Rio revealed the results of an MRI on his shoulder were “not good.”

Tuck, 32 and in his 11th NFL season, injured his right shoulder in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to Denver Broncos. He had the MRI on Monday and Del Rio, who typically disdains saying anything about injuries, didn’t sound optimistic.

Asked about any timeline, Del Rio said, “I think we’ll know what direction we’re going to go when we need to.”

That would seemingly make injured reserve a possibility.
