Raiders coach Jack Del Rio kept it pretty simple on the decision to trade linebacker Sio Moore.
“He wasn’t going to make the team,” Del Rio said Sunday in his first comments since Friday’s trade of Moore to the Indianapolis Colts for a sixth-round pick.
“We had depth there that we’re really happy about,” Del Rio continued. “We brought in two free agent linebackers. They both are playing very well. Two draft picks that are both playing very well. We developed a guy at the position that’s returning in Ray-Ray and we added a guy that we think is a real core difference-maker on special teams.
