There wasn’t really any doubt, but it’s now official that Daryl Worley will be back with the Raiders in 2019. The team announced the fourth-year cornerback has signed his restricted free agent tender.
Some people were surprised the Raiders opted to give the former 3rd round pick a 2nd round tender instead of an original round tender. The 2nd round tender carries with it a salary of $3.095 million salary while the original round tender is $2.025 million salary. So, basically the Raiders paid $1 million to ensure their 2018 starter was not signed away by another team.
