Coverage breakdown leads to Packers’ go-ahead touchdown

The Green Bay Packers’ go-ahead touchdown pass, a 30-yard toss to James Jones, saw the former Raiders receiver break wide open and create an easy completion for Aaron Rodgers.

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio called it a blown coverage, while cornerback David Amerson elaborated.

“The guys got confused,” Amerson said. “We had guys moving from nickel to safety to corner and everything. It was a guy in the wrong spot. He forgot he was supposed to be at safety.”

That would appear to be TJ Carrie, who was lined up in the slot on the play leaving only Woodson deep in coverage.
