ALAMEDA -– Amari Cooper has 339 receiving yards through the season’s first quarter. Multiply that total by four and you’ve got the Raiders’ first 1,000 yard receiver since 2005.
Cooper is on pace for 1,356 yards, which would rank No. 3 all-time in the Raiders illustrious history. He’s a long ways from that total, with prolonged health and effectiveness required to get there. That’s a lot of ifs, but one can say with certainty that the No. 4 overall pick is off to a good start.
Cooper questions that. Despite drawing national attention for his early play -- his ability after the catch, in particular -- he doesn’t think he has accomplished anything yet.
