Cooper not impressed with his 1,000 yards; teammates are

OAKLAND — Amari Cooper became the first Raiders receiver in 10 years to top 1,000 yards receiving and reacted with little more than a shrug.

“I guess it’s a good thing to do, but people go for 1,000 yards every year, so it’s not really a big thing,” Cooper said Sunday after catching six passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns.

A 1,000-yard season may have been devalued around the league, but it’s not something that happens every year in Oakland. Randy Moss was the last to do so when he snagged 1,005 yards during his first of two seasons with the Raiders in 2005.
