Clive Walford’s absence had been a running storyline throughout training camp.
The rookie tight end, a third-round pick from Miami, had been one of the stars of the mini-camp portion of the offseason and hopes were high for him to develop into one of Derek Carr’s best weapons.
But Walford missed the first nine days of training camp with a hamstring injury, then was back out after returning just in time to play in the preseason opener.
He was finally back again on Sunday and relieved to be preparing for next week’s opener with the Cincinnati Bengals.
