Chris Godwin won’t be a Raider

The Las Vegas Raiders were connected to wide receiver Chris Godwin, who enter the legal tampering period on Monday, as the top player available at the position.

However, Godwin is staying with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to NFL Media, Godwin signed a three-year, $66 million deal to stay in Tampa Bay with $45 million in guaranteed money.

The Raiders’ interest in Godwin made sense. He was in Tampa Bay with new Las Vegas general manager John Spytek and he played with and is close with Raiders’ part owner Tom Brady. Plus, the Raiders are looking for a new No.
