New Las Vegas Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly met with media members Wednesday. Here are some highlights from his remarks:
- Kelly said he is excited to work with Raiders’ head coach Pete Carroll. The two have competed together in the college ranks when Kelly was the head coach at Oregon and Carroll as at USC and in the NFL when Kelly was in San Francisco and Carroll was at Seattle. Kelly said he has long respected Carroll.
- Kelly said he was happy in his role as the offensive coordinator of the national champion Ohio State Buckeyes and he’d only leave for an NFL job that has a strong structure from ownership down.
