Chiefs draft son of Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie

ALAMEDA — Reggie McKenzie might just see his son twice on the football field next season.

The division rival Chiefs selected Tennessee’s Kahlil McKenzie with the 198th pick in the NFL Draft after trading up for him. According to Kansas City Star Chiefs beat writer Terez Paylor, the team wants McKenzie to play guard.

McKenzie played defensive tackle at Tennessee last season, totaling 33 total tackles in 2017 to go along with a pair of sacks and one pass defended.

“Being me as a kid, it was a lot of fun,” McKenzie said at the NFL Combine.
