Carr’s broken leg overshadows Raiders’ victory

The Raiders’ Super Bowl ambitions were thrown into jeopardy Saturday when quarterback Derek Carr was injured early in the fourth quarter against the Colts.

The Pro Bowl quarterback appeared to suffer a foot or ankle injury when he was sacked by Indianapolis linebacker Trent Cole in a violent, twisting manner that left Carr immediately calling for team trainers to come on the field with 10:55 to go in the game.

Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio and defensive end Khalil Mack walked out on the turf as well, as the crowd at the Coliseum chanted “M-V-P” for the injured quarterback.
