ALAMEDA – Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is in relatively good spirits even after suffering a broken fibula late in Saturday’s victory over the Colts.
It’s extremely likely Carr is done for what’s left of this season, but Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio said on Monday the third-year pro remains optimistic.
“He’s a very positive young man,” Del Rio said. “He’s all about the team, and being there for the team. He is wishing us the best, and will do what he can to be there vocally for us. He was outstanding.”
Carr's older brother and NFL Network analyst, David Carr, said Monday on the NFL Network that Derek is in Los Angeles and will have surgery on Tuesday morning.
