Wait, is there a kicker battle going on at Raiders camp?
Giorgio Tavecchio is not just a training camp leg, enjoying the Napa weather as he spells 16-year veteran Sebastian Janikowski. So said special teams coach Brad Seely on Saturday.
Tavecchio’s “an NFL kicker,” Seely said. “Will he kick for us? Well, that remains to be seen. But it’s a competition, and we’re seeing who’s the best.
“Obviously, Sebastian has done this for a long time and has been really good. Obviously, he’s the front-runner.”
Tavecchio, the former Campolindo High and Cal kicker, is in his fifth NFL training camp with four different teams.
