Bruce Irvin departed from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason, leaving the team he won a title and played in two Super Bowls with to head to the Oakland Raiders. A move that was possible for the Raiders after the Seahawks opted to let Irvin test the market after being a key pass rusher for their defense for the past few seasons.
On the first weekend of training camp, Irvin addressed his feelings on the Seahawks deciding to part ways with him and allow him to come over to the Raiders. Stating that “it is what it is” and noting that with the salary cap it is hard to retain everybody on a title-winning roster.
