Almost immediately upon being signed as a free agent in the 2016 offseason, and perhaps even before he officially signed, Bruce Irvin wasted no time recruiting other players to join the Oakland Raiders.
He started with Donald Penn, who at the time remained unsigned.
Next, Irvin turned his attention to Eric Weddle.
There were a few other tweets, but it looks like they were deleted. There was one about Aldon Smith, for sure, and possibly others.
Irvin adopted the nickname “Baby Reggie” as a result of his recruiting efforts, and the moniker quickly picked up traction amongst Raider Nation.
