Monday, on the even of the start of Raiders mandatory minicamp, they made a few roster moves. They signed defensive linemen Frostee Rucker and Ahtyba Rubin and in corresponding moves, they released quarterback Christian Hackenberg and linebacker Brady Sheldon.
Hackenberg was a 2nd round pick in 2016 and Sheldon is a former undrafted free agent who appeared in his only two career games last season for the Raiders. One of them was claimed off waivers. And it wasn’t the one you would have thought.
Sheldon was claimed by the Browns, while Hackenberg went unclaimed and is now a free agent.
