It figures minutes after I named Nevin Lawson as a sleeper for the first half of the Raiders’ training camp that he announced he will be suspended for the first four games of this season.
Lawson announced with a statement posted to twitter that he had unknowingly ingested a banned substance. He apologized to his family, teammates and fans and would be more cautious in future.
The sixth year cornerback signed a free agent deal with the Raiders this offseason after five seasons in Detroit where he appeared in 62 games, starting 54.
