Derek Carr couldn’t save the Raiders’ season Sunday, but he might have helped save a young boy from injury.
Carr was one of several Raiders players to approach the Black Hole after the last-ever game at the Oakland Coliseum, seeking to thank the fans one last time. The Raiders quarterback received a smattering of cheers and boos, as he has come to expect after a loss.
Carr spotted a boy in the front row, wearing shoulder pads beneath an oversized Raiders shirt, with silver and black necklaces and a black band painted over his eyes. King Gaeta is a 7-year-old super-fan, just like his favorites in the Black Hole: Gorilla, Jay the Joker and Deadpool.
