Bengals OC: Mack 'a rolling ball of butcher knives'

ALAMEDA – Significant attention will be paid to whether new Raiders edge rusher Aldon Smith plays on Sunday against Cincinnati. Odds are he will, and he’ll have to be accounted for at all times.

Khalil Mack’s second-year debut has taken a back seat to all this Smith hullabaloo swirling through the fan base, but trust that the Bengals will keep a wary eye on No. 52.

Mack had an excellent preseason many call a precursor to a true breakout year. He can be vicious in the pass rush and stingy against the run. Bengals offensive coordinator knows Mack can cause havoc on his own.
