When Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver A.J. Green views the Raiders stable of cornerbacks, his focus isn’t on their inexperience. He sees speed.
“They’re playing fast as a defense,” Green said Wednesday on a conference call. “They surround the ball.”
The five cornerbacks on the Raiders roster have combined for 15 starts, led by DJ Hayden’s 10 and TJ Carrie’s four, which all came during his rookie season last year.
That duo figures to be the starters, backed up by Keith McGill (one start as a rookie last year), Neiko Thorpe (no starts in 23 games over two NFL seasons) and rookie Dexter McDonald.
