After playing in 100 percent of the snaps in Week 2, Raiders right tackle Austin Howard has been ruled out for Week 3, ailing from the same ankle injury that kept him out of the regular season opener.
It’s certainly disappointing news, but considering Howard has missed practice all week, it’s not surprising.
Matt McCants, who saw some playing time in Week 1 after Menelik Watson and Howard both were injured, was hurt in that same game. This will be the second week in a row McCants has missed.
After being a limited participant in practice early in the week, Watson was a full go in Friday’s practice.
