ALAMEDA — Five days before the Raiders open the regular season, wide receiver Antonio Brown made public Wednesday a letter sent by general manager Mike Mayock regarding discipline for unexcused absences during training camp.
The letter, posted on Instagram, notified Brown of a fine of $13,950 fine for missing an Aug. 22 walkthrough in Winnipeg before the Raiders third exhibition game against the Green Bay Packers. Brown did not play in the game.
The letter also discloses a $40,000 fine for missing practice on Aug. 22, the Raiders’ final day in Napa. That was the day Brown missed practice after being informed a helmet he wished to wear had not passed safety standards.
