It happened. It actually happened. The bizarre silence surrounding Khalil Mack's contract and the rumors suggesting the Oakland Raiders would trade away their star pass-rusher shockingly came true on Saturday morning, as Oakland traded him to the Chicago Bears for a package built around two first-round picks. Mack goes to the Bears along with a 2020 second-round round pick and a conditional 2020 fifth-round pick, while the Raiders get back a 2019 first-round pick, 2019 sixth-round pick, 2020 first-round pick and 2020 third-round pick.
It's an absolutely stunning trade. Even in a league in which trades are becoming more common and stars like Marcus Peters are being dealt in the middle of their rookie contracts, Mack is the most accomplished player in the prime of his career to be traded away since the Broncos traded Champ Bailey in 2004.
