Raiders’ standout rookie receiver Amari Cooper missed Wednesday’s practice with a quadriceps injury that’s likely tied to a hit he took Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cooper was drilled in the right quad by the Steelers’ Mike Mitchell after making a third-quarter reception in Sunday’s 38-35 loss in Pittsburgh. Cooper hobbled off the field following that play and was briefly looked at on the sidelines before returning after just three plays.
At Wednesday’s practice, Cooper was suited up and participating at the beginning. But when the team completed its brief team portion of practice and split up into individual drills, Cooper jogged to the locker room at a fairly good pace.
