While the Las Vegas Raiders quarterback competition has been going on for a while between OTAs, minicamp and training camp, Saturday was the first time Aidan O’Connell and Gardner Minshew got to show what they can do in a game setting.
The Raiders lost to the Minnesota Vikings 23-24, but both quarterbacks had good performances as the offense scored on four out of five times they had the ball in the first half when the two QBs were in the game.
O’Connell was efficient during his one drive of the afternoon, completing seven of nine passes for 76 yards while marching the offense down the field and putting three points on the board.
