The same day the Raiders reportedly agreed to terms with veteran former Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson, the team has scheduled a visit with another over-30 veteran linebacker. Former longtime Texans linebacker Brian Cushing is coming for a visit on Sunday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Cushing is entering his 10th NFL season and will turn 31 ahead of training camp.
He’s a youngster compared to the 35-year-old Derrick Johnson. Both are middle linebackers by trade. If the Johnson signing put the odds of bringing back Bowman slim, the addition of Cushing would all but seal it.
