Raiders rumors have gone back and forth the past few months over the possibility of the Oakland Raiders drafting former Texas A&M starting quarterback Johnny Manziel with the #5 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle (by way of ProFootballRumors.com), the Oakland Raiders will in all likelihood pass on Johnny Manziel with the #5 pick in May's NFL Draft.
Furthermore, Tafur does not believe that any of the top projected quarterbacks in the 2014 NFL Draft are top-ten talents. He is confident that the Oakland Raiders will wait to draft a potential future starting quarterback till later in the draft, focusing on other needs instead in the first round.
Tafur lists "Jadeveon Clowney, Sammy Watkins, Khalil Mack, Greg Robinson and Jake Matthews" as the five players the Oakland Raiders will most likely target with the fifth overall pick -- providing that the Raiders do not trade down to secure extra picks later in the draft.
