The Oakland Raiders are eyeing Louisville defensive coordinator Todd Grantham for the same position with them, according to NBC's Dianna Russini.
Grantham is the favorite to fill Oakland's defensive coordinator opening, and is expected to meet with the Raiders soon. He'd leave Louisville after just one season.
Grantham worked at Georgia for four seasons before joining the Cardinals, but he spent the previous decade coaching in the NFL.
Louisville's defense was one of the better units in the country in 2014, ranking sixth in total defense at just over 308 yards allowed per game and gave up only 21.8 points per game.
New head coach Jack Del Rio has turned to the college ranks to fill his defensive staff as he hired Florida State's Sal Sunseri to be their linebackers coach.
