Oakland Raiders rookie starting quarterback Derek Carr knows who he wants to be coaching the team in 2015 and beyond, and he's already wearing the headset on the team's sidelines.
"Yeah, we love him," Carr said in support of interim head coach Tony Sparano, per the Bay Area News Group. "He's our leader. Absolutely. We love him. Obviously, those decisions are going to happen, and we have no control in that. Those decisions will be made, and whoever is here is who we'll play for.
"But right now, coach Sparano is my leader. I love him 100 percent. He genuinely cares about me. He's pulled me into his office just to ask how I'm doing. ... Those kind of things from a head coach mean so much."
Sparano's fate may rest on a couple of factors - first likely being Jim Harbaugh's status in San Francisco and second being the fate of GM Reggie McKenzie. All signs seem to point to Sparano at least being demoted, but things can change in an instant in Raiderland.
