Raiders News: Raiders to work out Northern Illinois DT Ken Bishop

After a scintillating entry into the 2014 NFL free agency market, Raiders news now turns its attention back to the 2014 NFL Draft -- and in particular, a possible late-round addition to the Raiders' defensive line.

According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Oakland Raiders will play hosts to former Northern Illinois defensive tackle Ken Bishop on April 15th --

Bishop is projected as anywhere from a 6th round pick to an undrafted free agent by most NFL Draft experts. The potential Raiders target was a First-Team All-Mid-American-Conference selection in 2013, posting 59 tackles (5.5 for a loss) and an interception for the NIU Huskies in 2013.

Part of the reason why the Oakland Raiders may be bringing Bishop in for a private workout could be the fact that he sat out of the Northern Illinois pro day with a foot injury. However, Bishop has been recorded running the 40-yard-dash in a fleet 4.96 seconds for someone who comes in at 6-foot-1 and 308 pounds.

Bishop is also scheduled to visit the Miami Dolphins on April 11th.
