Raiders News: Derek Carr Not Worried About Quad Injury, Status Against Chiefs

Oakland Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr was limited in practice on Monday as he deals with the effects of a quad injury suffered in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Carr played through the injury for the remainder of the game, and he doesn't appear to have any doubts about his status for Thursday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“I played the whole time with it,” Carr said, via Vic Tafur of SFGate.com. “It’s not a big deal. Coming off a plane trip, sleeping, not moving around, it was just tight. I’ll be OK. I’m not worried at all.”

Carr wouldn't have much time to worry anyways with the quick turnaround between Sunday's game with the Chargers and Thursday night's showdown against the Chiefs.

"The challenges are in getting the players’ routine down more than anything else,” interim coach Tony Sparano said of the team's quick work week. “We did a good job of trying to keep the practice at a time where the game is going to be played. That was really important.”
