LEXINGTON — J.J. Weaver's probably eating.
He’s supposed to take in somewhere in the neighborhood of 4,000 calories a day, and the Kentucky linebacker — who’s working on weight gain — sweats off pounds (plural) daily at practice.
So when he finishes, it’s off to the nutritionist for guidance on building them back.
“I’m like 240 (pounds) now,” Weaver said. “I’m trying to get to 255. If not, I’m good at 245.”
That Weaver’s preseason focus is on adding weight is a testament to how much of it he’s taken off his shoulders in the past two years.
