Kentucky needed another running back in the 2018 class. The Cats got exactly what they needed with Kavosiey Smoke.
Smoke was heavily pursued by North and South Carolina, but the three-star running back from Wetumpka, Alabama chose Kentucky instead. He’s considered the No. 46 athlete in the country by the 247 Composite Rankings.
The addition of Smoke is beautifully timed. Following Bryant Koback’s unexpected departure, Kentucky needed to add one more to the backfield. A powerful, bruising running back who led his team to the Alabama 6A State Title, his pedigree and style of play fits Kentucky’s system perfectly.
