Western Kentucky linebacker Eli Brown has been granted immediate eligibility for the 2018 season by the NCAA after transferring from Kentucky, the Hilltoppers announced Friday.
Brown, a redshirt junior, will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Brown played in 22 games for Kentucky over the last two seasons and collected 62 tackles, including 37 solo. In 2017, he tallied a career-high six tackles on Sept. 16 at South Carolina and again on Sept. 30 against Eastern Michigan.
Brown, a consensus four-star recruit out of Warren East High School in Bowling Green, redshirted his first year in 2015.
