LEXINGTON – There is no quick fix coming for Kentucky basketball’s experience problem.
None of the 10 scholarship players who played in the Wildcats’ first two games against Morehead State and Richmond had appeared in a game for Kentucky before this season. Sophomore forward Keion Brooks, the only player who scored a point in a game for UK last season, is not expected back for another two to three weeks due to a leg injury, UK coach John Calipari said Monday.
“I’ve got to teach them how to play winning basketball,” Calipari said. “We’ve got good players, but they’re not ready to play winning basketball the way they’re playing right now.
