Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops' news conference after the first spring practice of 2019. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Entering the spring, Kentucky football was already going to be left with the uphill challenge of having to replace a program great in running back Benny Snell. The team could, however, count on the return of its offensive coordinator Eddie Gran, who decided to return after reported interest from Georgia in January.
Reports at the time varied on whether he had received an offer, but following UK's second spring practice Tuesday, Gran was asked about the seriousness of the interest from Georgia and the discussions surrounding his decision to stay at Kentucky.
