Wiseman joins new AAU team with more Memphis ties

James Wiseman has a new AAU team for the month of July. Unfortunately for Kentucky, it has strong Memphis ties.

Wiseman will play for Memphis-based Hoop City Basketball Club for two upcoming Adidas events in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Wiseman had been a member of the Bluff City Legends (formerly Team Penny), most recently at this past weekend’s Nike Peach Jam, where he averaged 16 points per game down in South Carolina.

But now Wiseman will play for Hoop City, the program previously owned by and named for retired NBA player Mike Miller. Miller’s M33M team transitioned to Hoop City after Miller was hired on as an assistant coach at Memphis back in April.
