Will Martin steps down at Missouri Western State

Former Kentucky student manager Will Martin has submitted his resignation as the head coach at Missouri Western State University.

In 5 years as head coach, Martin was 77-70 overall and 51-56 in MIAA conference play.

MWSU’s 18-13 record in 2024-25 was the program’s highest regular-season win total in 22 years.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western State University will conduct a national search for its next
head men’s basketball coach after Will Martin submitted his resignation Wednesday, athletic
director Andy Carter announced.

“Will is a class-act who has led our program with love, passion and integrity,” Carter said.
