After the first 10-win season since 1977, and only the third in the school’s history, the Kentucky Wildcats are hotter than ever. Following an unexpected (according to the “experts”) Citrus Bowl victory over then-13th-ranked Penn State, as well as losses suffered by higher-ranked teams, many members of the Big Blue Nation were hopeful of a top 10 finish.
Unfortunately, Stoops’ Troops fell just shy of that realization, ending the season at number 12 in the Associated Press poll. Still not bad for a team that many projected would win no more than four games this season.
