By now, you’ve read or heard about the allegations of misconduct facing Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall. Multiple outlets have reported that Marshall physically and verbally abused his players and staff, punching some in the head and demeaning others with ethnic slurs. This afternoon, both Wichita State and Marshall released statements regarding the allegations.
The university says it is in the process of an independent investigation and has received full cooperation from staff, coaches, current student-athletes, and Marshall, and that for now, team activities will continue as scheduled. Jeff Goodman tweeted Marshall’s response shortly after.
