GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Jordan Wright hoped maybe he’d deflect the ball.
The Kentucky linebacker didn’t want Florida to make a momentum-changing play late in the first half of Saturday’s game at The Swamp. He’d seen it happen here before.
And so when Wright saw Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson go to make a sidearm throw to a tight end on the right side, the UK senior stuck out a hand and hoped to make something happen.
“When I put my hand out, I was just thinking, like, disrupt this throw or something,” Wright said.
