LEXINGTON – The great debate of the first half of Kentucky basketball’s season has entered a new stage.
Redshirt freshman guard and former Pendleton County star Dontaie Allen has returned to the end of UK’s bench. But unlike early in the season when a six-game losing streak was still not enough to get Allen into the primary rotation, Allen’s latest dip in minutes is supported by Kentucky’s form.
Allen has played just two minutes in each of the last two games. He has played single-digit minutes in five of the last six games.
In Kentucky’s current three-game winning streak, Allen has scored just three points.
