Why a close win for Kentucky football vs. Louisiana Monroe might not be enough in opener

LEXINGTON – As far as season openers go, Kentucky football’s game against Louisiana Monroe is about as favorable as they come.

1. Stay focused

It has not been uncommon in the Stoops era for Kentucky to start its season slowly against non-Power 5 opponents.
