LEXINGTON – On a night when assists were flowing freely at Rupp Arena, TyTy Washington’s record-setting night drew the lion’s share of the attention.
But Kentucky basketball super-senior guard Davion Mintz credited someone else for the key assist for his breakout performance in a 92-77 win over Georgia.
His dog, Ghost.
“When I got ill, Ghost left right before that,” Mintz said. “He was still gone through that period while I was still struggling. As soon as he came back just recently, a couple of weeks ago, everything has been uphill. I think he’s the secret sauce to all of it, honestly.
