LEXINGTON – The focus of the basketball recruiting world shifts to North Augusta, South Carolina this week with the return of the Nike-affiliated Peach Jam tournament.
Nike elected to condense its entire EYBL season into the next two weeks after not playing in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. College coaches will have their first chance since 2019 to see the Nike-affiliated grassroots teams play against each other in person this weekend.
There, Kentucky coaches are likely to spend much of their time watching five-star center Jalen Duren, the No. 1-ranked prospect in the class of 2022 who has been widely rumored to be planning a move to the 2021 class later this summer.
