Though UK’s performance yesterday left a lot to be desired, it offered one big bright spot: Jamal Murray was really, really good.
Chris Fisher over at 247 Sports compiled some accolades that Murray collected with his 33 point performance:
– It was the second most points a freshman Wildcat has ever scored, behind Terrence Jones’ 35 points in 2009. It is also the highest a Kentucky player has scored since then.
– Murray is only the 9th UK player to ever hit 7+ 3s in a game. Jodie Meeks (10) holds the record for most 3s hit in a contest.
