They always say that with time comes reflection, and in the days since Kentucky’s disappointing loss to Indiana, I’ve spent some time thinking about how this team will be remembered. This season gave me some of my happiest memories as a Kentucky fan: the win over Duke, Tyler Ulis taking over when John Calipari was ejected at South Carolina, Jamal Murray’s bow and arrow catching fire during the SEC Tournament. However, I think even the most optimistic of fans would admit that, deep down, they knew this group was fatally flawed. Skal Labissiere failed to live up to expectations, leaving a gaping hole in the post that no combination of Alex Poythress, Marcus Lee, Isaac Humphries nor Derek Willis could fill on a consistent basis.
