LEXINGTON, Ky. - Facing its most difficult challenge since the season-opening loss to Duke, Kentucky turned to its wily veteran again Saturday in a 78-61 win over UNC Greensboro.
Graduate student Reid Travis poured in a season-high 22 points to go with 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the season to lead the Wildcats to victory. Travis hit 8 of 15 field-goal attempts and 5 of 6 free throws to outduel UNC Greensboro guard Francis Alonso, who finished the game with 22 points on 6-of-11 shooting.
